Isaiah Johnson, from Saint Augustine’s University, co-led the first ever “Walk in the Park” program, as part of the first ever billboard contest for college students. Isaiah, along with Park docent Carol, led a group through the Museum’s park trails, sculptures and newly opened lookout platform

This was the first time since submitting his image on this blog that he saw the billboards in person, which measure 12’x5’. While answering questions from the tour, four bikers stopped to admire the billboard. They were surprised and excited to have a chance to meet and talk with the artist! One of the bikers commented on how naturally his image fit within the surrounding natural landscape of trees and foliage.

Isaiah was one of three college artists to be chosen. Isaiah was joined by friends and professors from his college, as well as a few members of the public. The billboards will be on display through October.
